Intermodality, Digitization and Green Technology:
the European pathway of the Ports of Genoa.
Vamp Up & E-Bridge EU Projects

The main objective of the Ports of Genoa is to consolidate its role as a a smart and sustainable Mediterranean gateway to Europe, by implementing physical and IT integration with the supply chains, through technology innovation and digitalisation of rail, logistic and customs procedures.

Sharing real-time information among the players of the transport chain and the automation of port and terminals gate operations represent the key to the optimisation of rail and road flows between seaports and inland destinations, while the implementation of interoperability and data security standards within the European transport network is the driving force required to build a reliable technical environment.
